Festival Checklist

Essentials

  1. Tickets - Remember the obvious: festival tickets! Otherwise you probably won’t get in. Also don’t forget any return train or bus tickets as well.
  2. ID - Remember it’s a compliment to get asked for ID. But as well as needing it for bars, you might also need it to match up to your ticket. All of our bars operate a challenge 21 policy, so even if your over 18, don’t forget your ID!
  3. Directions / Maps - Make sure you plan your route, any time lost is time lost from the fun of the festival.
  4. Cash & Cards - We only have a limited number of ATM’s, so there may be que’s. Try to bring enough cash for the weekend but keep it safe!
  5. Keys - An obvious one but you don’t want to get home to be locked out. Leave with someone you trust or keep them safe.

Clothing

  1. Waterproofs - We all hope it’s going to be sunny but you never know with English weather! So waterproof clothing is important, just incase!
  2. Wellies - Wellies are a festival must, rain or dry, they are great for wandering around and it means you don’t have to ruin your new white shoes.
  3. Sunnies - Not just to look cool but also to protect those eyes from the sun.
  4. Spare Clothes - Don’t just bring one set of clothing incase you get muddy, smelly or even sweaty!

Luggage

  1. Camera - You may want to treasure those special moments but bring a case and a strap as you don’t want to lose them again.
  2. Phone - Bring it fully charge and ready with your fellow festival going friends numbers in case you get lost or want to arrange a meet up. Also good for photo’s if you don’t have a camera.
  3. Torch - Nobody likes rustling around a damp tent searching for clothes and sleeping bags in the dark, so bring a torch. Wind up torches are great and not too expensive as well.
  4. Umbrella - One for the ladies, umbrella’s are great at what they were intended for: keeping the rain off your head!
  5. Tent - Essential item. Don’t turn up assuming you will find somewhere to sleep because you may not and there is nothing worse than waking up on a wet field with all your stuff ruined.
  6. Sleeping Bag & Pillow - Great for keeping warm at night. You don’t want dodgy looks from your mates when you snuggle up to them for warmth.
  7. Chargers / Batteries - Remember we are operating a recharge tent, but you need your chargers. So don’t forget them to recharge your phones and cameras.
  8. Bin Liners - Ideal for muddy clothes and to keep a tidy camp. We encourage a leave no trace philosophy.

Toiletries

  1. Toothbrush / Toothpaste - You will need some still water for this or you can use our taps. But if you’re looking for kisses, you won’t find any unless you clean your teeth!
  2. Deodorant - Travel sized sprays are great but any deodorant with help you smell better if you don’t get time for a shower.
  3. Towel - We will have showers this year so a towel is essential if you fancy one. Also if good for drying if the heavens open.
  4. Soap / Shampoo - Also nice to have a shower with some shampoo but remember to take it back home with you.
  5. Tissues / Wet Wipes - Wet wipes are a standard ‘festival shower,’ clean yourself down without having to waste 5 minutes of the festival to have a shower - essential.
  6. Condoms - Just because you never know what’s going to happen!

Medication

  1. Prescription Medication - Don’t get to the festival and realise you need to leave for your medication. Bring enough for the weekend and keep it safe and organised, so you know what you need to take.
  2. First Aid Kit - Not just a Swedish band playing on Kaylied stage but also an important bit of kit for Kendal Calling. Plasters, bandages etc for minor injuries.
  3. Paracetamol - For nursing that hangover but also if you get a sore head. However we do recommend having a chill out in the Welfare Tent or our Garden of Eden rather than using drugs.
  4. Sun Lotion - For that much loved sun, you don’t want to struggle putting your clothes on next day because you look like a beetroot. Don’t get burnt so be prepared.
  5. Glasses / Contact Lenses - Be sure to bring some spares in case you drop them.

Others

  1. Food & Drink - We will have a huge selection of caterers and bars, both for alcohol and soft drinks. But for when your chilling in the campsite, bring some snacks.
  2. Gaffa Tape - Any unwanted holes in tents and jackets can be fixed with a bit of ingenious duck tape. The stronger the tape, the better.
  3. Tobacco / Cigs / Matches etc - Don’t worry we will have a general store for these as well as cigarette shops but you may want a cig when your putting up your tent - this can be stressful!
