Announcing ‘Night at the Castle’ at Lowther Castle

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Lowther Castle to create a tantalising series of experiences this coming winter. With a focus on great music, delicious food, engaging art and culture, ale and gin bar and a cinema, Night at the Castle presents a unique night out at a truly spectacular location.

We have your Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas festivities covered with our three incredible events. 

“Thriller” – 27th October, 5pm – midnight. 

Prepare to be thrilled and chilled throughout the ruins of Lowther Castle and its spooky woodlands as part of the ghostly ‘Scare Trail’. Get involved with the bone-chilling festivities with our fang-tastic fancy dress and pumpkin competitions. Enjoy an evening of delicious food, fearsome fire acts, chilling walkabout artists, our real ale and gin festival and more soundtracked by Halloween hits, 30 piece drumming band Batala Lancaster, singer-songwriter Eliza and more live music. Kids and adults alike can enjoy Pop-Up Puppet Cinema, or pick up the popcorn and catch an early evening showing of family favourite ‘Ghostbusters’ or stay up late and watch American horror ’The Omen’.

Fire and Feasting” – 4th November, 5pm – midnight. 

Our Fire and Feasting event brings a reimagining to your typical Bonfire Night. Flickering fires, sizzling street food and a fireworks spectacular is what you can expect, all from within the breath-taking and atmospheric setting of Lowther Castle.

“Under The Stars” –  8th, 9th,15th & 16th December, 5pm – midnight

What better way to get you into the Christmassy mood than our delightful dollop of Christmas spirit. Dance, eat, drink and be merry with a wide range of hearty winter food offerings, stunning illuminations, market stalls, bands and DJs, plus a very special festive guest will be making an appearance!
