‘Kendal Calling Goes Into The Wild!’ in support of Cumbria Wildlife Trust!

Get ready for the greatest adventure of the summer as this year’s theme is ‘Kendal Calling Goes Into The Wild!’

We’ll be bringing the African Serengeti and the Jungles of Brazil to the beautiful fields of Lowther Deer Park for one truly wild weekend. Let out your inner animal and bring your pack, squad, gaggle or herd to discover the uniquely tropical ecosystem that is Kendal Calling! Explore deep in the woods with your little cubs and scout out the best music, grub and entertainment we’ve got.

Kendal Calling is delighted to present the Into the Wild Parade: a beasts-fuelled, epic migration of mammals, mythical beasts and flying creatures. Headed up by the well-loved and inimitable Baghdaddies, wandering brass troubadours with a flair for ska and a healthy dose of flamboyance, and joined by dragons, praying mantis and other surprise guests—the Into the Wilds Parade promises another life-affirming shimmy-shake across the fields. Wild things are asked to assemble for the parade at 2pm on Saturday afternoon, outside the cinema tent.

Now that we’ve let the hat (and furry ears) out of the bag, it is time to begin plotting your Into the Wilds armour: will your costume take inspiration from the wild skies, the impenetrable forest, or the concrete jungle? Will your wild alter-ego come from the present, past or the future? We expect nothing less than the fanciest of footwork from all creatures great and small.

Live on the wild side and become one with nature at KC17!

Throughout the festival and in keeping with the truly wild theme, Kendal Calling will be supporting Cumbria Wildlife Trust. Donations can be made at: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/KC17

See you in the fields!x
