Over the past few months we’ve been working hard at KC HQ with our plans to transform the beautiful fields of Lowther Deer Park into the festival we love. We’re thrilled to reveal some exciting changes coming to Kendal Calling this year, taking into consideration valuable customer feedback from you all.
We’re aware that our family campsite is one of our most popular campsites and we want to ensure that our family customers have the best time in the fields. Based on feedback we will rejigging the wristband marquee entrance, opening a new path and moving the family campsite to a new field within two minutes encumbered walk of you receiving your wristbands – and with beautiful views of the fells to boot. Far less time to carry your campsite essentials from the car to pitch up!
For our Deer Lodge customers, we are proud to announce that Deer Lodge, our boutique campsite, will be moving to a brand new field! The benefits of this new field include its own entrance to the arena (a short 5 minute walk up from the campsite) and car parking in an adjacent field. It took longer to finalise than anticipated so our apologies for the delay in updating you and thank you for your patience – we are sure you will find it a fantastic space.
We would also like to introduce you to Great Plains – our sister campsite to Emperor’s Fields! This new space will be located adjacent to our new Deer Lodge campsite. If you wish to bring your own tents, kick back and relax at the festival with all the amenities and benefits of Emperor’s Fields then this is the campsite for you. Please note that this campsite isn’t nearby Emperor’s Fields. Benefits include:
· Parking near tent
· Separate arena entrance (a short 5 minute walk up from the campsite)
· More camping space
· Free showers
· Food outlets
Great Plains tickets will go on general sale at 12PM on Thursday 19th April. Those who have signed up to the Emperor’s Fields waiting list should have received a presale link via email.
Lastly, we know that you need all the fuel to keep you going during your weekend in the fields, so for 2018 each campsite will have a concession selling hot drinks and broad food offerings.
For those arriving on Friday, we will be continuing what we’ve been doing for the past couple of years with having certain campsites closed on Thursday and open on Friday. We want to ensure that you will be able to secure space in the fields with your friends and family to be able to enjoy the weekend. Our campsite teams will be roaming around to let you know which campsites still have space in once you arrive, and we’ll be tweeting this out on our @inthefieldsLIVE Twitter account, the hub for all essential festival information.
It’s not just our campsites we’ve been working on! We’re excited to announce that other improvements for 2018 include new structures and more space in our Calling Out, Glow and Soapbox stages – and stand by for more to come.
We cannot wait for you to join us in the fields this July!
