We have an abundance of family-friendly entertainment for those mini Kendal Callers, incorporating our theme; Kendal Calling goes Jurassic!

Expect a range of age-appropriate activities for those little Kendal Callers aged 0-11, including craft workshops, circus skills, face painting, story-telling and much more. You’ll be spoilt for choice in the fields!

Kids Calling is also a welcoming area for under 3’s, where little ones can enjoy an inflatable ball pool and parents can take some time out from all the hustle and bustle of the festival, shaded by lovely tipis.

PREHISTORIC ADVENTURES

Little ones can crawl, hop or fly your way to Kids Calling throughout the weekend to dig for dino bones, discover Neolithic cave art, bowl a monolith at ‘strikehenge’, follow the prehistoric treasure trail, and watch our volcano erupt.

Plus, don’t miss the DINO VILLAGE on Saturday afternoon – get involved in Jurassic-inspired games, face painting, art and crafts, competitions and general silliness, with our host of friendly activity leaders.

Start working on your roars!

KENDAL CALLING GOES PREHISTORIC PARADE

Calling all decadent dinosaurs, ravishing raptors and cave-people with attitude! Join the Kendal Calling goes prehistoric parade at 2pm on Saturday afternoon for our annual jaunt across the fields. Expect flying pteranodons, marching dinosaurs, animal-skinned percussionists, larger than life butterflies, and a whole host of critters and colourful characters.

The main entertainment will of course be YOU. So come prepared with your jurassic-inspired costume, and join the party.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Look out for flying Pterodactyls and other creatures lurking over the fences, plus these large scale carnival crafts can be created by children themselves. There will be craft workshops by the Re-Psych Project – Fossil and giant teeth making, Ice Age creature costume-making, Amber droplets, medicine stick and cave paintbrush making, tribal jewellery, pasta-saurus pictures and posables, amulet bag making.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Outside throughout the weekend will be loads of Jurassic-inspired games, such as Triceratoss hoopla, Dino egg and spoon races, make your own dino egg juggling balls and Mr Bounce’s Jurassic-themed extraordinary inflatables to suit all ages, plus Rockahula hoopers, circus skills and bubbles galore!

MUSIC

Percussion making and music workshops throughout the day; ancient movement and fire dance sessions, and daily discos aimed at raver tots and then older youngsters.
